Governor participated in the program organized by TV27 news channel on the role of women in “Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh”

 Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey, while addressing a program organized by TV27 news channel on role of women in “Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh” here today, said that it is a matter of great pride that the channel is completely run by women. And only women are working on the posts from the top of the institute to the correspondent of the district. It is possible that people may not believe when they hear for the first time but now it is the reality that our sisters and daughters are walking shoulder to shoulder in every field. This channel with 100 percent representation of women will definitely put women related issues in front of the people with great sensitivity. He said that along with all of you, the role of the women of the state would be highest in building a new Chhattisgarh. Due to the contribution of all of you, this state is progressing progressively today. On this occasion, the famous Pandwani singer Smt. Teejan Bai, who was honored with Padma Vibhushan,
 Governor Ms. Uike said that women should move forward with confidence and courage. They do not get success like this. It requires determination and dedication. He said that on the occasion of Independence Day this year to honor mother power, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had also called upon people to respect women’s power. He said that mother is our first teacher. Apart from this, there are many true guides in life. He said that the channel should also show the story of bravery, struggle of such women, girls, which should inspire other girls. Do not present women’s issues just as sensationalism, but show them with seriousness.
Addressing the program, Governor Ms. Uike said that one cannot be called educated only by bookish knowledge, but one should also have practical knowledge. Governor Ms. Uike said that at present there are many challenges in the field of journalism. The need for serious journalism on issues related to public concern is being felt. Especially the issues related to women and the deprived sections need to be placed before the society in a strong manner. He said that today more than 100 women have participated and shared their views in this discussion. There is no dearth of capacity among the daughters of the state. Like all of you have found success by choosing the path of struggle. In the same way, all of you should encourage the sisters of your state. Governor Ms. Uike said that today there is a dire need of change in the attitude of the people. We should never think that how can girls do the work which men have always been doing. We have to end the distinction between son and daughter. 
Noted Pandwani artist and Padma Vibhushan Smt. Teejan Bai addressed the program and also gave a brief but eloquent presentation of the part of Draupadi’s chirharan in Pandwani. 
During this the program was also addressed by the Chairperson of the State Commission for Women, Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak and Padma Shri Smt. Shamshad Begum. In the program, the Governor was honored with a memento by the TV27 team. Earlier, on the arrival of the Governor, the Mahila Dhumal Band welcomed him with full enthusiasm. A large number of women were present on the occasion, including the Editor-in-Chief of Jandhara Media Group, Mr. Subhash Mishra, the state head of TV27 channel, Mrs. Suruchi Mishra, Dhanerwal, Mrs. Rachna Mishra.
