Teacher honor ceremony organized in Raj Bhavan

Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey and Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel honored the excellent teachers of the state on the occasion of Teachers’ Day today and extended their greetings and best wishes on Teachers’ Day. The award ceremony was inaugurated by garlanding the photographs of Maa Saraswati and Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan. During this, 04 teachers were honored with Memorial Award and 56 teachers with State Teacher Award in the name of great litterateurs of the state.
Addressing the award ceremony, Governor Ms. Uikey greeted the teachers and students of the state, including the respected teachers, on Teachers’ Day. He appreciated the remarkable efforts being made by the State Government in the field of school education. The Governor said that with the opening of English medium schools in the state, the dream of students from cities to remote areas to study in English is being fulfilled. Starting closed schools in Naxalite areas and starting kindergarten will play an important role in changing the direction and condition of education. The Governor said that during the period of Kovid, an important initiative has been taken from human point of view by giving early compassionate appointment to the relatives of the deceased teachers. He also appreciated the allocation of an amount of 500 crores for the renovation and renovation of the schools.
The Governor said that children are the cornerstones of our country, their originality, imagination are the precious wealth of the country and teachers have the important responsibility of shaping their lives. It is the duty of the teachers to inculcate high ideals and moral values in the students as well as inculcate the feeling of patriotism and unity among them. We have to make them capable, trained and efficient citizens. He said that the teachers are requested to infuse the rich elements of Indian cultural heritage in the minds of their students and inculcate strong faith and faith in the Indian Constitution, democracy, sarva dharma sambhav, national unity and integrity. They should make such efforts which not only inculcates discipline in the children, but also helps them to know and understand themselves and make themselves capable and capable to face the challenges of the future.
Governor Ms. Uike said that development of human resource is our first need and this development is possible only through education. With the development of human resource, development of other resources can be done easily. In its absence, valuable resources will be wasted and destroyed.
He said that many such incidents happened during Kovid due to which many students had to drop out of school and many other adverse situations were created. Along with the education of children, there was also mental and emotional damage, which we have to take more effective steps to overcome. The Governor said that there has been a successful tradition of worshiping Gurus in our country and I am sure that this tradition will continue to grow stronger.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel wished all the respected teachers on Teachers’ Day. He said that the teachers, while fulfilling their responsibility towards the society, did not allow the students to be deprived of education even in the challenging times of Kovid. Education continued through many innovations and the Prime Minister also mentioned and praised the teacher of Jashpur in Mann Ki Baat program. Similarly, NITI Aayog also appreciated the innovation in education of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that the government has taken every initiative for the quality and expansion of education. The need was felt. There is a demand to open more schools of Swami Atmanand excellent English medium from Sukma to Balrampur. We have opened 279 English medium schools and more schools will be opened. In efforts to upgrade education, an amount of 500 crores has been sanctioned for the renovation of schools and kindergartens are also being opened for children. Along with this, one day work will also be conducted in various local dialects of the state including Chhattisgarhi.
School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam also addressed the program. On this occasion Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Dr. Alok Shukla, Secretary to Governor Mr. Amrit Kumar Khalkho, Secretary School Education Mr. S. Bharathidasan, Legal Adviser to the Governor, Rajesh Srivastava, Director School Education Shri Sunil Kumar Jain, Deputy Secretary to the Governor, Shri Deepak Kumar Agrawal, officers and employees of Raj Bhavan and Education Department along with teachers were present.
