15 lakh quintals of vermi compost reached the fields

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, in a virtual program organized at the Chief Minister’s residence office today, transferred the amount of 51st installment of Godhan Nyay Yojana to the beneficiaries in their bank accounts, in which Rs. 48 crore and a dividend amount of Rs 93 lakh for women groups. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that 15 lakh quintals of vermi compost made from cow dung purchased under Godhan Nyay Yojana has been used by the farmers in their fields. Through this scheme, we are serving the mother earth along with serving the cow. The use of vermi compost in place of chemical fertilizers in the fields is really a service to mother earth.

The Chief Minister said that such feedback is being received from the farmers that the soil of the fields is becoming soft and fertile due to the use of vermi compost. In the fields where vermi compost has been used well by the farmers, now there is no need for other types of chemical fertilizers. The Chief Minister said that large scale production of vermi compost is necessary to make available more than 26 lakh farmers of the state. For this, he also instructed to make regular purchase of cow dung in Gauthans without any hindrance and to get Vermi stitches made as per requirement. The Chief Minister said that in the current Kharif season, so far four and a half lakh farmers of the state have lifted vermi compost from cooperative societies in the form of crop loans, which is encouraging.
The Chief Minister said that in the initial phase of the procurement of cow dung, some people had made fun of it. Today this scheme has become popular in the villages. This scheme is being appreciated across the country. Within two years, important achievements have been achieved through this scheme along with fulfilling many goals simultaneously. The Chief Minister said that new employment opportunities have been created in the villages with the coordination of Gauthan and Godhan Nyay Yojana. 79 crore 60 lakh rupees are deposited in the bank accounts of 5863 Gauthan committees of the state as of today. About 2500 Gauthan committees have their own capital deposits ranging from one lakh to 10 lakh rupees, 46 Gauthan committees have their own capital deposits ranging from 10 lakh to 50 lakh rupees. He said that this achievement is a strong step towards realizing the dream of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi of village Suraj and self-reliant village. The Chief Minister has said that many young entrepreneurs want to join the Rural Industrial Park set up in Gauthan. Us They should be given opportunities, this will increase employment in the villages, the income of the people will increase. The Chief Minister said that income-oriented activities conducted in Gauthans and collection and processing of minor forest produce have increased the income of the people. Happiness has come to them. We need to take this effort further.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that cow dung worth Rs 160 crore has been purchased in Gauthans so far. The women sisters of the Gothan group have earned an income of Rs 80 crore by conducting activities related to vermi compost and agriculture. Efforts are being made in coordination with all the departments to ensure that income-oriented activities are conducted in Gauthans in a better way. Expansion of income-oriented activities in Gauthan, the work of construction of shed is being done on priority. An initiative to connect Yuva Mitan Club with Gauthans has also been started. He said that Gauthan and Godhan Nyay Yojana have become a source of income for livestock farmers, women groups and landless families in today’s situation. In the beginning of the meeting, the Managing Director of Godhan Nyay Yojana, Dr. Ayaz Tamboli gave detailed information about the achievement of Godhan Nyay Yojana. He said that the purchase of cow urine is also being done in the Gauthans. So far, women’s groups are selling 21 thousand liters of cow urine and making organic insecticides, Brahmastra and Jeevamrut from it. So far 17.57 lakh quintals of vermi compost manure has been produced from cow dung, out of which 15 lakh quintals of vermicompost have been sold.
