Chief Ministeri Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to Late Shri Vamanrao Lakhe on his death anniversary by paying floral tributes at the Chief Minister’s residence office today. Mr. Baghel remembered the invaluable contribution of Mr. Lakhe in the field of freedom struggle and cooperation. In Chhattisgarh, through cooperatives, Mr. Lakhe laid a strong foundation for the economic development of lakhs of people including farmers. Laying the foundation of cooperative in Chhattisgarh, he established a cooperative bank in Raipur. During the national freedom struggle, he made his invaluable contribution for public awareness in Chhattisgarh. Along with the promotion of Khadi, he was also active for the development of education. He was engaged for the strengthening of cooperative organizations throughout his life. It is the result of his efforts that today the dream of employment and progress of lakhs of people through cooperatives is coming true.
