Chief MinisterBhupesh Baghel has said that PESA Act was already in existence but due to non-formulation of its rules, tribals were not getting its benefits. The Chief Minister has said that a rule has been made in Chhattisgarh regarding the PESA Act and for this a publication has been made in the Gazette on August 8. With this, the tribals will be able to decide for themselves about their water-forest-land.
The Chief Minister was addressing the program of Sarv Adivasi Samaj Chhattisgarh organized on the occasion of World Tribal Day at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Auditorium located in Science College campus today. People of tribal community from across the state were present in this program. The program started with garlanding and lighting of lamp on the portrait of Shaheed Veer Narayan.
The Chief Minister has said that the power of Gram Sabha will increase with the implementation of PESA Act in the state to protect the interests of tribals. Under the new rule, 50 percent of the members of the Gram Sabha will be from the tribal community. Out of this 50 percent, 25 percent will be women members.
Addressing the World Tribal Day program, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that after the formation of his government, a public holiday was declared on World Tribal Day, tribals were given forest rights leases, under which five lakh pattas have been given under forest rights. have been given. To take care of the interests of the tribals and to implement the schemes on time, Jan Jagran Abhiyan Calendar has been released.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is buying 65 types of minor forest produce and this is leading to economic empowerment of the tribals, which is why the tribals of Bastar and Surguja are demanding opening of banks for their villages. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is working continuously for the health of the tribals and as a result of this there has been a 65% reduction in the cases of malaria. Along with this, lakhs of people are also getting benefited from the Chief Minister Haat Bazar Clinic.
The Chief Minister said in the program that we are moving ahead in the matter of education, we have done the work of starting 300 closed schools in Bastar and to increase the quality of education, 10 thousand new teachers are also going to be recruited in the state. Is. The Chief Minister said that primitive culture is the identity of Chhattisgarh and tribals have contributed a lot in the freedom struggle. The Chief Minister said that we want to preserve all the contributions of the tribals and for this work is being done to save the language, culture and everything. On this occasion, the Chief Minister has wished everyone a Happy World Tribal Day.
