There will be expansion in the health facilities of the state

Raipur, 30 July 2022

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the state government is continuously making efforts for the expansion of health facilities in Chhattisgarh. On the initiative of the state government, where Kanker got recognition from NMC (National Medical Commission) last year in three new medical colleges in the state, this time Mahasamund also got recognition.

Two years ago, approval was given to open new medical colleges in Kanker, Mahasamund and Kerba districts in the state. After this the preparation of medical colleges started in all the three districts. Kanker was recognized last year after an inspection by the NMC.

This time Mahasamund and Karba Medical Colleges were in the race for recognition. About 2 months ago, NMC did a virtual inspection of both the colleges on the same day. Since then the final report was awaited.

On Friday, the NMC released a report, in which Mahasamund Medical College has been recognized for medical education of 100 seats for the academic session 2022-23.

With the increase in MBBS seats in government medical colleges in the state, along with medical education, patients will get the benefit of state-of-the-art medical facilities.
