Raipur: Collector’s instructions: There should be a permanent solution to the problem of water in stone, livelihood activities should increase in Nilja Gauthan

During the stay of Collector Dr Bhure, the women of Pathargaon apprised about the problem of drinking water. The women told that there are two tube wells in the village, one of which dries up in summer, its water falls rapidly, due to which there is a problem of water. The women also told that there is water in another tube well, but no work has been done to connect pipelines etc. to it. Due to this people are not getting enough water. The work of making the tank is also going on at a slow pace. Collector Dr Bhure immediately took information from the officials of the Public Health Engineering Department over phone and instructed them to complete the works of installation of tanks, pipelines and taps in the next two months. During this, CEO of District Panchayat Dr. Ravi Mittal, District Program Officer Shail Thakur and other officers were also present.

Instructions to prepare an action plan to increase livelihood activities in Nilja Gauthan:

Collector Dr Bhure inquired about the vermi compost manure being made by the women’s group during the inspection of Nilja Gothan. He also asked the chairperson of the Self Help Group about other livelihood activities in Gothan. The chairman of the group said that this time a business of Rs 4 lakh has been generated by selling and producing vermi compost. At present, activities from cow dung procurement, compost making, pasture to poultry farming are being done in Gauthan. The Collector instructed the officers to prepare an action plan to develop this Gauthan as Adarsh ​​Rural Industrial Park and increase livelihood activities. He also advised to start works like vegetable production, poultry, egg hatchery, goat rearing, mushroom production on a large scale to ensure regular income from the activities conducted in Gauthan.
