Raipur: Jal Jeevan Mission: The work order of the contractors who do not start the work will be canceled

Under the Jal Jeevan Mission as per the wishes of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, pure drinking water is being supplied in rural areas. Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar has given instructions to the officers to complete the works of Jal Jeevan Mission in time-limit. In compliance of which Balrampur Collector  Vijay Dayaram K. reviewed the works of Public Health Engineering Department. In the review meeting, the Collector reviewed various schemes, works, ISA, NABL upgradation works of water testing laboratory under Jal Jeevan Mission. Expressing displeasure over the slow pace of construction works of Jal Jeevan Mission, he directed the officials to order the concerned contractors to complete the work within the time-limit as per the contract.

Collector  Vijay Dayaram K. He directed the officials of the Public Health Department to immediately purchase equipment for testing the water inflow capacity in tube wells in the district. He instructed the Executive Engineer to cancel the work order of the contractors who did not start the work. The Collector asked the firms preparing the DPR to prepare the DPR on the new SOR and submit it in a week and instructed the Executive Engineer Public Health Engineering to keep them informed about the daily progress. He asked the Executive Engineer to identify five villages under each development block according to the ‘Har Ghar Jal’ unit and apprise them in the upcoming meeting of the time-limit, as well as directed that the pipelines being laid under the Jal Jeevan Mission will help the villages of the village. Ensure that tap connections are provided in all institutions, schools, Anganwadi and health centers.
In the meeting, the Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering Department informed that administrative approval has been obtained for 1 lakh 77 thousand 938 domestic tap connections of 604 habitations of the district, DPRs for the remaining 32 villages have been apprised of the status.
