Industries Minister and Minister in-charge of Bijapur district, Shri Kawasi Lakhma interacted with the flood victims during one-day stay at Tarlaguda in the flood affected area of Bijapur. Minister Mr. Lakhma said that Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel constantly contacted me through phone to inquire about the flood situation and sent me to Tarlaguda keeping in mind the families of the victims so that I could apprise them of the actual situation. He was in constant touch with the MLA and Collector regarding the situation in Tarlaguda and also gave necessary guidelines for relief and rescue, he said. On this occasion, Minister Shri Lakhma instructed the people to stay at a safe place and evaluate the damaged property, house, house, livestock, crop when the flood water recedes. At the same time, instructions were given for distribution of ration food grains, mosquito nets and necessary treatment after conducting health tests.
The villagers apprised the Minister Mr. Lakhma that the problem of flood persists here due to being on the banks of the river. He instructed the officers to conduct a survey for rehabilitation for the affected areas including Tarlaguda, Atukapalli, Rampenta, Kandla and also assured the villagers to solve their problems after being aware of their problems. Minister Shri Lakhma encouraged the children to study well while taking information about flood situation, food and education from the children in Potacabin of Tarlaguda. Bijapur MLA and Vice-Chairman of Bastar Development Authority, Vikram Shah Mandavi expressed gratitude to Minister Lakhma, who came to solve the problems of the villagers.
