Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey attended the swearing-in ceremony of Krishi Upaj Market Committee Bhatapara today as the chief guest. On this occasion, he administered oath to the members including the newly appointed President of Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Bhatapara, Sushil Sharma, Vice President Chitralekha Sahu.
Giving a gift to the farmers, Agriculture Minister Shri Choubey has announced to construct a new Kisan Bhawan in the Mandi complex and to renovate the dilapidated shed. He directed the district administration to select the site for the new Mandi premises. Minister Mr. Choubey while highlighting in detail the decisions and schemes taken by the Chhattisgarh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel to make agriculture prosperous and farmers happy in the state, said that today the farmer of Chhattisgarh should be strong and financially strong. Used to be. We are moving towards organic agriculture. Gothan and Gaudhan are producing vermi compost on a large scale through Nyay Yojana and have sold about 150 crores of vermi compost, in which 147 crores have come back to Gauthan Samiti and women self-help groups. Through Gauthan, one lakh women have been made self-reliant and have linked them with employment.
Minister Shri Choubey said that about 1.50 lakh hectares of government land has been secured in the state by making Gauthan in the villages, due to which the identity and Daihan culture of Chhattisgarh has been restored. He said that the government is giving reasonable price to the farmers of Chhattisgarh by buying paddy on support price. We are also constantly striving to make bioethanol from the paddy produced by the farmers in the state.
