Raipur: Inter-state coordination meeting concluded at Police Headquarters

Under the chairmanship of Director General of Police, Shri Ashok Juneja, a meeting of senior police officers of the state of Chhattisgarh, Orissa was held today at Police Headquarters, Nava-Raipur.

    In the meeting, the new framework for conducting joint operations by security forces in the border Naxal affected areas of Chhattisgarh and Orissa states was discussed, as well as the sharing of intelligence inputs of both the states was also discussed. Similarly, the strategy of establishing coordination between the camps and police stations of the security forces in both the states in the Naxal-affected areas, jointly monitoring the cross-border movement of Naxalites and blocking the supply line of materials for the Naxalites. been considered. In the inter-state meeting, special attention was paid to maintaining security arrangements in the rural areas situated on the border of both the states.

    Special Director General of Central Reserve Police Force, senior police officers of Border Security Force, officials of Union Home Ministry, Government of India and senior police officers associated with Naxal operations of Chhattisgarh and Orissa states were present in the meeting.

    Deputy Inspector General of Police Dantewada, Kanker, Koraput (Orissa) and Senior Superintendent of Police Bastar, Superintendent of Police Sukma, Kondagaon, Mahasamund and Koraput, Malkangiri, Navrangpur were associated in the meeting through video conferencing.
