Meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary

The meeting of State Water Resources Utilization Committee was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain through video conferencing from Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here today. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, 21 villages of Bilaspur district and 48 villages of Mahasamund, 34 villages of Mungeli were approved for water supply for their water supply. Similarly, the group water supply scheme to 33 villages of Kondagaon district and 206 villages of Mungeli, 61 villages of Bemetara and 76 villages of Surajpur got the approval for approval of annual water allocation from the water bodies there under Jal Jeevan Mission. 

In the meeting, the proposals for water utilization, availability and allocation of various reservoirs of the state under the Water Resources Department and water allocation for the use of Jal Jeevan Mission, Public Health Engineering Department and various industries were also discussed in detail and the proposals were approved. .

In the meeting of the State Water Resources Utilization Committee, the proposals for allocation of water to the industries located in different districts were also approved. Among them M/s MSP in Raigad district. The proposal was approved for allotment of water to Steel and Power Limited, M/s Indramani Industries Private Limited in district Balrampur and to M/s Jaiswal Niko Industries Limited, Raipur in district Narayanpur. Similarly, in district Balodabazar Bhatapara, M/s. G.O.S. Annual water allocation proposal to Ispat Private Limited has been approved. In the meeting, Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department Mr. Manoj Pingua, Secretary of Water Resources Department Mr. Anbalagan P., Secretary of Public Health Engineering Department Mr. Dhananjay Devangan, Secretary of Energy Department Mr. Ankit Anand, Secretary of Agriculture Department Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Finance Special Secretary of the department Smt. Sheetal Shashwat Verma and other officers were present.
