School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam launched the ‘Safe Thursday’ program to prevent the Kovid epidemic. On this occasion, Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam in his remarks said that the concept of ‘Safe Thursday’ will not only keep the children safe but it will prove to be a milestone in the systematic operation of the school. This program is an excellent effort to create awareness for such epidemics in future. I am sure that the education of Chhattisgarh will be completely safe from Corona.
School Education Minister Dr. Tekam said that during the Corona period, the biggest epidemic of this century, schools were closed and children were imprisoned in their homes. It was a very difficult period for the children. How to keep yourself and your family safe each and every child through safe behavior by children in these situations. Keeping this in mind, the concept of Safe Thursday has been started. In Safe Thursday, every Thursday, half an hour work will be done in the schools regarding the methods of prevention and safe behavior from the epidemic, videos have also been produced about the lessons. Along with this, a QR code has been inserted in the book ‘Safe Thursday’, so that the entire process can be easily understood by the teacher and the child.
It is noteworthy that the Kovid epidemic made its impact in many areas, there has also been a big loss in the field of education. At present the government has opened all the schools, so it is necessary to strengthen the covid compliant practices. ‘Safe Thursday’ is a powerful means of making this effort a reality. Which has been prepared by the Department of Education in collaboration with UNICEF. ‘Safe Thursday’ is a 17-week program based on activities, designed separately for Classes 1-5 and Classes 6-12. In this, every Thursday for 15-20 minutes, there will be activities on various topics related to Kovid like hand washing, proper use of masks, vaccination etc. in all the schools. For the convenience of the teachers, it has also been made in video form, so that these activities are conducted uniformly in all the schools.
