Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had food at farmer Balaram’s house in Sakola village during a meeting in Pendra block of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district. He tasted Koilar, Chench and Moonga Bhaji. Eating delicious bhaji with arhar dal, rice and urad badi in the rainy season was really pleasing to the mind. Mrs. Hiramati, a member of the house and sarpanch of Sakola village, told that there is a fence behind the house in which vegetables like Munga, Chench Bhaji, Koilar Bhaji, Bhindi, Barbatti etc. have been planted. Hiramati pleased the Chief Minister by feeding her own house’s barn, Koilar and Munga Bhaji.
Sarpanch Mrs. Hiramati told that the farmers have got a lot of benefits from the government’s ‘Narva, Garwa, Ghurva and Bari’ scheme. Inspired by the Bari scheme, every farmer of the village is planting a vegetable garden on the vacant land behind the house. Due to this, the people of the house are not only getting nutritious and fresh vegetables, but they are also earning money from their sale.
