Raipur : Chief Minister Mr. Baghel inaugurated free-of-cost mega orthopedic and spine surgery camp at Shree Narayana Hospital

Raipur, July 01, 2022/ Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel on Friday inaugurated free-of-cost mega orthopedic and spine surgery camp and a three-day spine and orthopedic conference organized at Shree Narayana Hospital, Devendra Nagar in Raipur. Mr. Baghel extended Doctor’s day greetings to all the doctors present on the occasion and congratulated all people associated with the hospital on the completion of 11 years of Shree Narayana Hospital. He appreciated the national and international achievements of the hospital in the field of medicine. On this occasion, the Chief Minister felicitated specialists from Mumbai, Bangalore and other reputed medical institutions by presenting mementos. He wished speedy recovery of the people who came to take advantage of the free-of-cost camp.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he said that in the last 11 years, Narayana Hospital has done a commendable job of providing better health facilities to the needy people through specialists and state-of-the-art resources. The doctors and staff here have a significant contribution in this success.

Speaking about the initiatives undertaken by the state government to make healthcare accessible and affordable, Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh Government is also providing free-of-cost treatment facility up to Rs 05 lakh to the needy people of the state through Dr. Khoobchand Baghel Swastyha Sahayata Yojana (DKBSSY). Similarly, under Mukhyamantri Vishesh Swasthya Sahayata Yojana treatment up to Rs 20 lakh is being provided free of cost for serious diseases. He said that health is a priority and providing better and affordable medical facilities is the need of hour.

Stating that new and serious diseases are being identified nowadays, Chief Minister said that their treatment is also possible with the advancement in medical technology. State government is also providing necessary facilities for the treatment of these serious diseases. The director of the hospital, Dr. Sunil Khemka also addressed the programme and gave warm wishes on Doctor’s Day.
