Raipur, 01 July 2022. Chief Minister, Shri Bhupesh Baghel, who attended the Doctor’s Day award ceremony organized by IMA, has said that the way Chhattisgarh has fought the war in the era of Kovid transition, hardly any other state of the country has worked. The Chief Minister also saluted the doctors who were fighting to save the lives of people in the Kovid infection, who lost their lives themselves. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel was addressing the doctors and representatives of social organizations present at the Doctor’s Day award ceremony organized by the Indian Medical Association at his residence office today. While garlanding the portrait of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Rai on the occasion of Doctor’s Day, the Chief Minister also mentioned his remarkable contribution in the field of medicine. Mr. Baghel said that Dr. Bidhan Chandra Rai, who did remarkable work in politics as well as in other fields, preferred to call himself a doctor.

The Chief Minister said about doctors that they are given the status of God and no one else can serve human beings better than doctors. Mr. Baghel said that if the doctor smiles in front of the patient, then half of the patient’s disease is cured in the same way and the behavior of the doctors is the cure for many diseases of the patients. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel honored 24 doctors who have done excellent work in different parts of Chhattisgarh during the Covid transition. The Chief Minister also honored 9 social institutions for serving the people during the Covid transition. On this occasion, Dr. AR Bhalla, Dr. Lalit Shah, Dr. Vinay Makhija were given Life Time Achievement Award by IMA for their remarkable contribution in the field of medicine.

In the beginning of the program, Dr. Vikas Agarwal, President, IMA welcomed the Chief Minister with a state cloth. In the function, Dr. Anil Jain told the people present about the biography of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Rai while the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Digvijay Singh, Secretary, IMA. Addressing the program, Dr. Rakesh Gupta, President, Hospital Board of IMA thanked the Chief Minister for the decisions taken in the interest of the doctors and also said that Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is a true friend and colleague of the doctors.
