Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who reached the state-wide meeting-meeting program, today inaugurated Swami Atmanand Government Excellence Hindi Medium Higher Secondary School at Jashpur here. Seeing the school premises, the Chief Minister said that this school, built in the year 1932 during the British rule, was losing its splendor, was getting dilapidated but after the opening of Atmanand School, the school has returned to its old glory. Appreciating the arrangements made in the school premises, he congratulated the district administration.
After inspecting the school, the Chief Minister said that it is one of the best and most beautiful schools in the state. Appreciating the infrastructure and facilities here, he said that now it has all the facilities including basketball ground, swimming pool, well equipped lab. The Chief Minister also said that this is probably the first school in the state to have a swimming pool facility. , the children presented a beautiful dance on the lyrics of the song ‘Narwa, Garwa, Ghurva, Bari’ of Chhattisgarh. On the request of the children, the Chief Minister could not stop himself and he too joined the dance with the children on this song. It is noteworthy that Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Jashpur has been converted into Swami Atmanand School. 955 students are studying here, which will directly benefit these children. During the program MLA Shri U.D. Minj, Shri Vinay Kumar Bhagat along with public representatives were present.
It is worth mentioning that in Jashpur Vidhan Sabha 03 Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium One Hindi Medium School is running. In which more than 1246 students are studying. Quality education, mid-day meal, uniform textbook, various laboratories and high level facilities of library are being provided free of cost in these schools. In the academic session 2021-22, Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium Kumari Soumya Yadav of Jashpur has secured the fourth position in the merit list of the tenth board examination. JEE NEET exam preparation is also done in the school to the students of class 11th and 12th. In which last year three children have cleared the JEE examination.
