9623 youth of special backward tribe will get benefit in Chhattisgarh

 

In Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel made a big announcement today. Chief Minister Shri Baghel announced to give regular government jobs to the educated youth of special backward tribes in Chhattisgarh. This announcement was made by the Chief Minister after Sanju Pahadia, a girl belonging to the Pahari Korwa community, demanded a regular government job during a meeting in the garden of Jashpur district. It is worth mentioning that in Chhattisgarh, five tribal groups have been given the status of special backward tribes by the Center and two tribes by the state government, thus a total of seven tribal groups.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel had reached the garden today in the series of meeting. During this, during the discussion with the villagers, the girl Sanju Pahadia, while speaking before the Chief Minister, demanded a regular government job. Sanju told that he has studied MSc and PGDCA in Zoology, but does not have a regular government job. On this, Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that, A meeting of the Chhattisgarh Scheduled Tribes Advisory Council was held on 27 August 2019. In the said meeting, it was decided to conduct a survey of the eligible youth of particular backward tribes and take action for their appointment as per their eligibility. In compliance with the decision, a district wise list of special backward tribes was prepared by conducting a survey in all the districts of the state by the Tribal and Scheduled Castes Development Department. According to the list, the number of educated eligible youth of special backward tribes is 9623. The process of appointment of all these 9623 educated youth to third and fourth grade posts in government departments will be started soon. The annual expenditure on this is estimated to be around Rs 346.43 crore.

Special Backward Tribes in Chhattisgarh:

It is noteworthy that due to the unusual rate of development amongst the tribal groups, the Government of India constituted a commission to identify the special backward tribal groups. In this, five tribal groups of Chhattisgarh namely Abujhmadia, Pahari Korwa, Birhor, Baiga and Kamar have been recognized as special backward tribes. On the other hand, the Pando and Bhunjia tribes have been recognized as a special backward tribe by the Chhattisgarh government. In this way, the total number of Special Backward Tribal Groups in the state is seven.
