Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today met the general public in Saliatoli village of Kunkuri assembly constituency of Jashpur district and inquired about the implementation of government schemes and programs and the benefits they are getting. The Chief Minister said that as per the promise made to the farmers, we are procuring paddy at support price. Through the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana , farmers are also giving an input amount of 9 to 10 thousand rupees per acre to the producers of Kharif and Horticulture crops.So that our farmer brothers get better price for their produce and they are financially happy. On this occasion, the Chief Minister made several announcements on the demand of the villagers.

During the meeting, Mr. Vinod Yadav, a resident of village Kandora, appreciated the schemes run by the Chhattisgarh government for the welfare of all people including villagers and farmers , forest dwellers and landless labourers. Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for this, he said that there is terror of elephants in Kunkuri area. Farmers and villagers are upset , elephants eat banana , mahua , jackfruit , bamboo planted by farmers and damage life and property. After listening to this problem of Shri Vinod Yadav, the Chief Minister said that its solution is also contained in your problem. If we grow fruit trees like jackfruit , mahua , banana ,If we start planting mango-jam etc on a large scale , then elephants will not come to the villages and settlements in search of food , this will get us rid of the terror of elephants. The Chief Minister said that in order to stop the movement of elephants in villages and settlements, instead of planting timber trees in the forest, we are doing the work of planting fruit trees on priority , so that wild animals do not enter villages and settlements in search of food. Pashupalak Shri Manoj Kumar also told the Chief Minister about the benefits of Godhan Nyay Yojana and said that he has earned an income of Rs 18,000 by selling 90 quintals of cow dung so far. Manoj Kumar told that with the introduction of Godhan Nyay Yojana, now he has started getting about four and a half times more profit than selling cow dung.
