Raipur: State Government is making every effort to preserve tribal culture: Bhupesh Baghel

Raipur, 19 May 2022. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that all possible efforts are being made by the State Government to preserve and promote the glorious culture of the tribals. In this sequence, work is being done for the restoration of Devgudi, the center of faith and reverence of the tribals, beautification of the campus and development of basic facilities. For this, an amount of Rs 5 lakh is sanctioned by the state government for the development of Devgudi.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel inaugurated the renovation and beautification work of 40 Devgudiyas of Bijapur district, Aavapalli (Usur) and Bhopalpatnam in Bijapur assembly constituency in a program organized at Devgudi of Aavapalli Gram Panchayat of Bijapur assembly constituency today. But while discussing with the priests and villagers of Devgudi, he expressed his views to this effect. The cost of the works being done in these Devgudis is Rs 4.46 crore. The Chief Minister also planted a mango sapling in the Deoguri campus. Industries Minister Shri Kawasi Lakhma, Lok Sabha MP Shri Deepak Baij, Bijapur MLA Shri Vikram Mandavi were also present on the occasion.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister visited Devgudi located at Manjhipara site of Aavapalli. He prayed for the happiness, prosperity and prosperity of the state by visiting Viraji Mata Nilaunga and Madvi Devi here in Devgudi. Perma, Vadde (priest) performed the puja rituals. The Chief Minister met with the priests on the occasion. In which priests from Manjhipara, Madvi Para, Aavapalli, Timapur and Ilmidi villages participated. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel was welcomed with traditional rituals by villagers on his arrival at Devgudi in Manjhipara of Aavapalli with Dorla dance to the tune of Dhol, Tabla, Mohri ke baje-gaje and Raila Pata songs.
Villagers told that Devgudi is the center of religious faith and reverence. Along with our economic development, the Chief Minister is also paying attention to the development of the centers of our religious faith. During the meeting, priests and villagers submitted applications to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister said that it was nice to meet you people. The government wants the tribal culture to be protected. Devgudi has become safe and beautiful with the construction of the shed. He told the priests present that Baiga, Gunia were being given Rs 7,000 annually under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. On this everyone applauded and thanked him. The priests told the Chief Minister about the construction of a temple at the Devgudi site.
