Raipur 18 May 2022.Chief Minister, you have changed the picture of Naxal affected area by improving roads, camps and schools. Now people here do not have the fear of Naxalites but want to move forward. The people here are also taking advantage of the government’s schemes.
Madkam Mudraj, who was once a commander in a Naxalite organization, narrated his past to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in a meeting-meeting program organized in Konta and said that I want to join hands with you. On this, the Chief Minister very intimately placed his hand on Madkam’s shoulder and also shook hands. The Chief Minister appreciated and clapped for Madkam on his return to the mainstream.
Madkam had a gun in his hands before and is still there. The only difference is that earlier the fear was among the villagers and today the Naxalites tremble in their name. Madkam told that he had lost his way and joined the Naxalite organization. But he could not sleep due to self-aggrandizement by shedding the blood of his own brothers. Then one day he decided to surrender. Became SPO after surrender. After this there are inspectors in constable, ASI, SI and now in DRG.
Naxalite training was also given to his wife- Madkam says that once his wife was also in the organization with him. I used to train him but both of us decided not to live a life of bloodshed. Those against whom we have raised our guns are our own brothers and sisters. To return to the mainstream is to lead a good life.
Today children are living a good life style-
Madkam says that today he has reached a high position. Salary is also good. Because of this, children are able to teach well. All my three children are studying in English medium school and living a good lifestyle. If Naxalites were in the organization today, they could not even imagine all these things.
