Chief Minister, on the third day of his extensive tour under the ‘Bhent and Mulaqat’ Campaign visited the village of Govindpur in Pratappur constituency. He came face to face with the villagers and after listening to their problems, issued prompt resolutions which include suspension of officers who were found to be negligent in their work. After this, he made several announcements for the upliftment of the residents of Govindpur. These development works include; gate construction, beautification and compound construction in Mata Rajmohini Samadhi Sthal Complex at a cost of Rs. 50 Lakh, Establishment of 33/11 KV power substation in Govindpur: 95 villages to benefit from this, 33 places will be illuminated with solar lights to fight elephant menace in the area’s vicinity, A District Co-Operative Central Bank branch will be established at Govindpur,A road will be constructed from 11 No. Chowki to Ramkota Road. Moreover, on the complaint of the villagers, the Chief Minister also announced the suspension of the officials who were negligent in the construction of AvartiCharaiGauthan in Govindpur. Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. ShivkumarDahria and School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister also inspected the Anganwadi of Govindpur. He met the children in the Anganwadi and distributed toffees to these children with his own hands. He asked the Anganwadi workers and helpers about the operations and management of Anganwadi. The Chief Minister took information from the workers regarding the quality of nutritional food given to the children and stressed on the regular functioning of Anganwadi.
Chief Minister Mr. BhupeshBaghel also dedicated a 6 bed ward for Covid patients at Jajawal Sub Health Center of Gram PanchayatGovindpur. Mr. BhupeshBaghel had lunch with the family of late Shri Sheetal Prasad Kannauje, a social worker at Govindpur. He called Shri Aditya LalKannauje, son of Shri Sheetal Prasad Kannauje, and made him sit with him for a meal.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel also closely scrutinized the documents at the Gram PanchayatBhawan in Govindpur. He took information about widow pension and chief minister’s pension from the secretary of the village panchayat. He also asked for documents related to both the pension schemes. After this,The Chief Minister also took information from the Panchayat Secretary and the Chief Executive Officer of PratappurJanpadPanchayat about the distribution and payment method of these pension schemes.
The Chief Minister also asked the Panchayat Secretary and the Chief Executive Officer of the JanpadPanchayat about the old and new register containing information about pension distribution. He got the list recorded in the Chief Minister’s Pension Register and matched it with the computerized list. After which, The Chief Minister inquired about the pending applications for making ration card. He directed that applications related to any scheme should not remain pending. He strictly instructed the officials to take prompt action on the pending applications of the beneficiaries and resolve them immediately.
