Journalists will play a leading role to protect interests: Nitin Choubey

State President Nitin Choubey called upon all the office bearers to play a leading role in protecting the interests of journalists after the appointment. Shri Choubey said that journalists and their families have also faced a lot of trouble in the last two years while battling the world wide pandemic like Corona. Like other sectors, the financial condition of the media houses has deteriorated, due to which a large number of journalists are facing financial crisis due to retrenchment. At the same time, in the face of all the dangerous situations, a large number of our comrades got killed untimely. No remarkable initiative has been taken by the Central or State Government for their families. Media organizations also ruthlessly retrenched or cut salaries to reduce their expenses during this period. Mr. Choubey also expressed concern about the safety of journalists and called for the attention of the government for this. Mr. Choubey said that a delegation would soon meet the Chief Minister and the Governor to inform about the organization’s activities along with this issue.
