Raipur, 03 April 2022. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel held a meaningful discussion with the heads of tribal society on the plans and future strategy for the tribals during his stay in Bastar on Sunday. The Chief Minister urged the social heads of the tribal community to apprise the local officials and public representatives about the problems related to the welfare of their society. In this regard, the Chief Minister directed the officers to solve the problem with priority and seriousness.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that the society heads have played an active role in the operation of “Bastar Academy of Dance Art and Literature” set up in village Asna for the protection and promotion of local tribal culture. He said that continuous efforts are being made by the government for the welfare of the tribals. In this episode, 1242 cases registered against tribals have been returned.
In order to get land rights to the tribals, 4 lakh 45 thousand 865 individual forest rights letters, 45 thousand 764 community forest rights letters and 3 thousand 528 community forest resource rights letters have been distributed to the beneficiaries. Apart from this, 31 thousand 243 beneficiaries who were found eligible, have been given personal forest rights letters after taking into consideration the applications of the individual forest rights papers that were canceled earlier. Out of the beneficiaries who have received individual forest rights letters, 2 lakh 41 thousand 274 beneficiaries have received the Kisan Samman Nidhi prescribed by the government.
Continuous work is being done by the government in the direction of self-employment. The tribal women of Bastar division are moving towards becoming self-supporting by getting benefits from the schemes of the government. Papaya and coffee production by women in Darbha development block of district-Bastar, textile production through Denex in Dantewada district and Tikhur Shake being produced in Kondagaon district are examples of continuous demand in the markets of the country and abroad.
For the maintenance of Devgudi, an important part of the traditional culture of Bastar division, the amount provided every year has been increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh and Ghotul is being constructed. Including Sirha, Baiga, Gunia as part of the social structure under the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Landless Agricultural Laborer Justice Scheme, it has been announced to give an honorarium of Rs. 7 thousand per year.
It has been decided to set up new revenue sub-division office and tehsil for the convenience and redressal of revenue related matters, this will increase the direct access of the administration to the general public. Bastar division includes 01 section and 06 tehsils in the new subdivision and tehsil formation. An e-portal has been created for basic revenue work like conversion, so that the conversion work can be done quickly and easily.
The chiefs of the tribal society expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the efforts being made by the government for the upliftment and welfare of the tribal class and while maintaining law and order in Bastar division, the society heads agreed to provide necessary cooperation so that there would be peace in the area. And maintain an atmosphere of harmony.
