From February 28, in the Gauthans of the state, Rs. 2 crore 7 lakh was paid in lieu of cow dung purchased from cattle rearing villagers, farmers, landless under Godhan Nyay Yojana and Rs 1.32 crore to Gauthan committees and Rs 1.98 crore to women’s groups. Huh.
It is worth mentioning here that under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, cow dung is being purchased from the villagers at the rate of Rs. A payment of Rs 129.86 crore has also been made to villagers selling cow dung in lieu of 64.92 lakh quintals of cow dung purchased till February 15 in Gauthans. This figure will increase to Rs 131.93 crore after payment of Rs 2 crore 7 lakh to cow dung vendors on March 6. So far Rs 48.05 crore has been paid to Gauthan committees and Rs 31.34 crore as dividend to women self-help groups.
Vermicompost, Super Compost, Super Compost Plus and other products are being prepared on a large scale from cow dung purchased under Godhan Nyay Yojana by women groups in Gauthans. Over 11 lakh 64 thousand quintals of vermi compost and 4 lakh 65 thousand quintals of super compost manure have been manufactured by women’s groups, which are being supplied through societies to various departments of the government and farmers at concessional rates. Apart from manure from cow dung, women’s groups are earning profit by manufacturing and selling go-casts, lamps, incense sticks, idols and other materials. Apart from this, various other income-oriented activities are being conducted by women groups in Gauthans, including vegetable and mushroom production, poultry, goat, fish farming and animal husbandry, due to which women groups have earned an income of Rs 53 crore 24 lakh so far. are done. 11,493 women self-help groups are directly associated with Gauthans in the state, Whose member number is 77189. Electricity generation has been started in Gauthans by purchasing cow dung. MoU has been signed to make natural paint from cow dung.
For the conservation and welfare of cow in the state, construction of Gauthans is being done at a rapid pace in the villages. There is better management of livestock care, treatment and free fodder and water in Gauthans. So far, approval has been given for construction of Gauthans in 10,591 villages in the State, out of which 8349 Gauthans are built and operated. Out of which 2800 Gauthans have become self-supporting in today’s situation. More than 2 lakh rural, animal husbandry farmers are getting benefited from Godhan Nyay Yojana. Women make up 45 percent of those earning extra income by selling cow dung. 98 thousand 710 landless families are also getting benefited from this scheme.
