Raipur 04 March 2022. Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uike today observed the Bastar tribal life depiction made in the forest department’s park located at village Asna in Bastar district. Reaching Asna, he met women from self-help groups and visited various stalls showcasing the local culture. During this, on reaching Dhurwa Para, Governor Ms. Uike was accorded a warm welcome as per the tribal tradition of Bastar. During the discussion with the women, the Governor inquired about the livelihood activities conducted by them. He encouraged the women of the group and introduced traditional dishes of Bastar like Tikhoor Pak, Chapa Laddu, Mahua Laddu, Urad Bada, Tasted the taste of kulthi papaya vegetable. Governor Ms. Uike highly appreciated all the dishes. He appreciated the efforts being made by the administration for the entrepreneurship development of women. The Governor also invited the women who prepare Bastariya cuisine to the Raj Bhavan. He appreciated the concept designed to reflect the lifestyle of the various tribal communities that settled here.
Governor Ms. Uike asked the administrative officers to provide market for the materials produced by women and extend their full cooperation. The Governor with great enthusiasm ran the Dhenki used for pulverizing paddy in rural areas and also shared his experiences related to it.
