Raipur: Central Joint Secretary took stock of skill training being given to youth in Livelihood College

     Raipur, 17 February 2022. The Union Joint Secretary, Shri Raghuraj Madhav Rajendran visited the Livelihood College, Korba today and took stock of the skill training being imparted to the youth. Shri Rajendran asked the students about the course of sewing clothes by going to Industrial Sewing Machine Operator trade. The students told that after the completion of the course, there are options to establish self-employment along with a job in the private textile industry. 
    During the inspection, the Central Joint Secretary went to the classes of Hospitality, Electrician, Industrial Sewing Machine Training and Fashion Designing and discussed with the trainee youth. He also inquired about the options of self-employment along with imparting skill training to the youth from the officer-in-charge. 
    The students told Mr. Rajendran that in the Livelihood College, under the electrician trade, training in house wiring, fan repair, tube light-LED bulb repair etc. is given. He went to the Fashion Designing Trade Room and took information from the students taking training in the art of fashion and asked about the designs, models and sewing art being made by the students. Along with this, information was also taken from the trainee students of Assistant Electrician about the training being given for skill development. 
During this, officers-employees of district administration including District Collector, Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat were present.
