Surprise inspection of shops and sales centers of 92 fertilizer vendors of Bemetara, Rajnandgaon, Raipur, Janjgir-Champa, Gariaband, Durg, Balodabazar, Dhamtari and Kabirdham by the joint team of Agriculture and Revenue Department to ensure availability of fertilizers at reasonable prices to the farmers. was done. Action has been taken at 48 centers for irregularities found in the sale of fertilizers in these centres. The licenses of three fertilizer centers in Balodabazar district have been suspended by the team.
According to the information received, 20 centers were inspected in Gariaband district, out of which show cause notices were issued to them after banning sales in 18 centers due to irregularities found in the sale of fertilizers. Similarly, 08 centers were inspected in Bemetara district, out of which show-cause notices were issued to them after banning sales for irregularities found in 02 centres. In Raipur and Janjgir district, 15 and 05 centers were inspected respectively, in which show cause notices were issued to 05 centers in Raipur and show cause notices were issued banning sales in 02 centers in Janjgir. In Durg district, 07 centers were inspected, out of which show cause notices were issued to 03 centers and sales ban to 01 center. Similarly, 04 centers were inspected in Rajnandgaon district, In which show cause notices were issued to 03 centers. In Balodabazar district, 18 centers were inspected, out of which action was taken for suspension of license at 03 centers and show cause notices were issued to 09 centers while banning sales for 21 days at 03 centres. 10 centers in Dhamtari district and 05 centers in Kabirdham district were inspected, where no irregularities were found.
