The Governor said that the Bhumkal rebellion was so strong that the British Government sent a large number of soldiers to quell it, which the tribals of Bastar faced bravely with their traditional weapons. This movement created by Gundadhur ji created an awakening in the society and its effect was also at the national level. About 111 years ago from today, the tribals in Bastar region, under the leadership of Jannayak Gundadhur, had raised the voice of the Bhumkal movement.
