Raipur, 07 February 2022. Under the direction of Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar, the works of running water supply in Anganwadi and schools are being done expeditiously. In this episode, Raigad Collector Shri Bhim Singh took a review meeting of District Water Sanitation Mission today. Collector Shri Singh inquired about the updated progress of domestic tap connection works under Jal Jeevan Mission. During this, he directed to complete all the approved works expeditiously under the schemes running under single village, multi village and solar scheme. He has set up Anganwadi, Schools, Health Center, Also got information about running water work in Gram Panchayat building etc. Collector Shri Singh reviewed the works being done under Jal Jeevan Mission in detail. While reviewing the acceptance of contract and time extension under Jal Jeevan Mission, expressing deep displeasure over the delay, he directed to take action against all the concerned and contractors. He discussed the progress and present status of the sanctioned works related to the scheme.
During the meeting, Collector Shri Singh discussed the updated progress of the works of Jal Jeevan Mission and approval of acceptance of tenders. EE PHE informed that administrative approval has been given to 1146 schemes including 366 of retrofitting scheme, 466 of single village scheme, 314 of solar scheme and tenders have been issued for 353 schemes. Out of which work orders have been issued in 515 schemes. Apart from this, work has been started in 194 schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission, in which 24 thousand domestic tap connections have been provided as on 6th January. With this, the work of running water in the ashram and hostel has been completed 100 percent. On this occasion, CEO, District Panchayat Dr. Ravi Mittal, officers and employees of health department including water resources, creda, education, forest were present.
