Raipur: Instructions to expedite the works of Jal-Jeevan Mission: Applications for grant of citizenship will be online

Raipur, 22 January 2022. Expressing dissatisfaction about the slow pace of the works of Jal-Jeevan Mission, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain has directed to expedite the works of the Mission in a meeting organized through video conferencing with all the Divisional Commissioners and Collectors today. He directed the state level officers to conduct weekly review of the progress of the work. Shri Jain also directed to make online entry of the applications received for grant of citizenship of India and complete all the necessary process in time and submit the applications at the state level for further action.

The Chief Secretary has asked to compile the data of patients suffering from Kovid infection and undergoing treatment in home isolation. Explaining the necessity of the second dose to the people who had taken the first dose of the vaccine, instructed to inform them to take the second dose of vaccination. Shri Jain has said that the Health Department has sufficient quantity of vaccines for Kovid-19. Therefore, all the eligible people should be motivated to reach the vaccination center for vaccination. He has given instructions to expedite the work of testing the infection. Vaccination center to protect against Kovid-19 in the control room set up at the district level, Instructions have also been given to keep all the information about the beds available in the hospitals etc. It has also been said that the Collector himself should provide information from time to time to the local media through press conferences. Shri Jain has told the collectors that the rate of hospitalization of seriously infected patients in the third wave of Kovid-19 infection is very low. Even after that, taking seriously the deaths due to infection, detailed information should be compiled and treatment of patients should be ensured.

The Chief Secretary has directed to work seriously towards creating 12 to 15 lakh employment opportunities in the next five years under the Chhattisgarh Employment Mission. He has said that an action plan should be made to provide employment based on local needs. Employment opportunities should be created especially in the manufacturing and service sectors. He has asked the youth to motivate them for self-employment. Shri Jain has directed each district to submit an action plan in this regard within the next one month. Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrata Sahu, Principal Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of Chhattisgarh Employment Mission Dr. Alok Shukla, Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare Dr. Maninder Kaur Dwivedi and Home Department Secretary Mr. Arun Dev Gautam were also present in the meeting.
