Raipur, 21 January 2022. Forest, Transport, Housing, Environment, Law, Legislative and Climate Change Minister and Kawardha MLA Shri Mohammad Akbar gave 10 lakhs to 43 parties of folk artist Nacha Gammat, who were going through unemployment for the last two years during the period of Kovid transition. Help is being provided by providing financial assistance of Rs.75. Shri Akbar today provided financial assistance of Rs 7 lakh 50 thousand to 29 teams of folk artist Nacha Gammat family of Kabirdham district. The sanctioned financial amount will be sent to the remaining other dance-gammat folk artists.
Minister Shri Akbar got to know about everyone’s well being by discussing directly with all the folk artist members through video conferencing from his residence located in Shankarnagar, Raipur. Member of Chhattisgarh Shakambhari Board Shri Hari Patel and Municipal President Shri Rishi Kumar Sharma were also present in the program on this occasion.
It is worth mentioning that last year, in village Samnapur, an honor ceremony was organized by the Chhattisgarh Lok Kalyan Nacha Gammat family in the courtyard of the adorable Devi Shakambhari temple of Patel community. Cabinet Minister Shri Akbar attended the conference. In the conference, 43 parties of folk artist Nacha Gammat, who came from different districts of Chhattisgarh, had demanded financial help during the Corona period. In which 35 teams were from Kabirdham district. After listening to the demand of the folk artists by the Minister Shri Akbar, it was announced to give financial assistance of 10 lakh 75 thousand rupees to all the parties from their voluntary donation.
Forest Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar while addressing said that the folk artists and families associated with dance and dance of the state have an important role in bringing alive the art-culture and traditions of Chhattisgarh. With the special efforts of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, meaningful efforts have been started to keep the art, culture and traditions of Chhattisgarh alive in the state. To preserve the culture and traditions, the formation of the Sanskriti Parishad has provided a platform to the artists and craftsmen of the state. This will help in the expansion, promotion and protection of artists of Chhattisgarh’s literature, music, dance, theatre, painting, sculpture, cinema and tribal and folk arts. This effort of Chhattisgarh government is commendable.
Due to the interest of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for the preservation, promotion and propagation of dance-song, festival, faith and culture of the tribal community and cultural exchange of art tradition, a glorious event of National Tribal Dance Festival has started in the state. . Due to this tribal art and culture has been broadcast on the world stage. Rajim Kumbh is now known as Rajim Maghi Punni Mela. Maghi Punni Mela is a symbol of faith for the people of Chhattisgarh and the government has revived the years old tradition of organizing it. By organizing Sirpur Mahotsav, the art-culture of Chhattisgarh is promoted and artists get a platform.
Sahitya Akademi, Kala Akademi, Tribal and Folk Kala Akademi, Chhattisgarh Film Development Corporation, Chhattisgarh Rajbhasha Aayog and Chhattisgarh Sindhi Academy divisions have been formed under the Sanskriti Parishad. There is a plan to develop Film City in Nava Raipur. In Nava Raipur, near Purkhauti Muktangan, a huge Muktakashi museum of tribal art, craft and tradition and folk life of the state ‘Purkhauti Muktangan’ is being developed, under which the distinctive form of tribal ancient culture, various dimensions of multicolored culture of Chhattisgarh ‘Amcho’ After ‘Bastar’, ‘Surguja block’ is being developed.
