Raipur, 18 January 2022. In Chhattisgarh, the process of making an action plan has started to create new employment opportunities and increase the income of the people through them. According to the intention of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the Chief Secretary in Mantralaya Shri Amitabh Jain took a meeting of senior officers of various departments related to employment mission here today.
In this high level meeting organized through video conferencing, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain said that there is a lot of employment opportunities here in various sectors related to agriculture, horticulture, industry and forests. The officers associated with these departments should prepare an action plan soon to create more and more employment opportunities. He said that Chhattisgarh Employment Mission has been formed to create employment opportunities in the state and to provide employment opportunities to the people in their area as per the local conditions.
Chief Secretary Shri Jain said that under the Employment Mission, a target is to create 10 to 15 lakh new employment opportunities in the next five years. According to this goal, all the departments should prepare an action plan keeping in mind to provide employment to the people. In the meeting, he also directed the collectors of all the districts to prepare a district level action plan along with suggestions regarding new employment opportunities according to the circumstances of their districts. State Employment Mission’s Executive Officer Dr. Alok Shukla gave guidance to the officers of various departments including Industry, Rural Development, Agriculture, Forest, Horticulture, Urban Department, Tourism, Handicrafts, Village Industries in relation to the preparation of the action plan and suggestions from them.
