Raipur, 15 January 2022. In the current season of procurement of paddy on support price in Chhattisgarh, 69 lakh 17 thousand 105 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 17 lakh 15 thousand 846 farmers till this evening in 2484 paddy procurement centers of the state. So far, 65.88 percent of the estimated target of paddy procurement by the state government has been procured. On the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, this year along with the purchase of paddy, fast lifting of paddy for custom milling is also being done. 35.54 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted through DO and TO.
Officials of the Food Department said that DO of 32 lakh 85 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been issued. The millers have lifted 27 lakh 68 thousand metric paddy from the procurement centers. Similarly, T.O. for transportation of 13 lakh 49 thousand metric tonnes of paddy so far. has been issued. Against which 7 lakh 90 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted from the committees.
Janjgir-Champa district ranks first in the state in terms of procurement of paddy on support price till January 15. There, 6 lakh 09 thousand 551 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased. On the other hand, Rajnandgaon district ranks second in paddy procurement in the state. There, 6,02,270 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured. Mahasamund district is at the third position in the state in the procurement of paddy today. In Mahasamund district, 4 lakh 77 thousand 403 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured.
According to the information received from the Food Department, till January 15, 1,14,289 MT on support price in Bastar district, 46,924 MT in Bijapur district, 11,412 MT in Dantewada district, 2,13,804 MT in Kanker district, 1 in Kondagaon district. 05,870 MT, Narayanpur district 16,179 MT, Sukma district 32,679 MT, Bilaspur district 3,66,736 MT, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district 50,243 MT, Korba district 1,12,296 MT, Mungeli district 2,87,902 metric tonnes, Raigad district 3,86,851 metric tonnes, Balod district 3,78,955 metric tonnes of paddy was procured.
Similarly, 4,64,036 MT in Bemetara district, 2,98,327 MT in Durg district, 3,13,823 MT in Kawardha district, 4,76,971 MT in Balodabazar district, 2,84,210 MT in Dhamtari district, Gariaband district 2,35,009 MT, Raipur district 3,44,105 MT, Balrampur district 1,36,945 MT, Jashpur district 1,04,399 MT, Korea district 93 thousand 184 MT, Surguja district 1,64,914 MT And in Surajpur district, 1,87,817 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured.
