Raipur , 12 January 2022. The seeds of Rabi crops are being continuously stored in cooperative societies by the Agriculture Department and Chhattisgarh State Seeds and Agriculture Development Corporation. There are 1,75,448 quintals of seeds available for various types of Rabi crops in cooperatives , agriculture department , seed production program and private sector , which are being distributed to the farmers. So far 1,46,830 quintals of seeds have been lifted by the farmers , which is 84 percent of the stored Rabi crops .
Chhattisgarh State Seeds and Development Corporation is ensuring the availability of certified seeds of Rabi crops as per the demand of the farmers in the state. This year , the target is to distribute two lakh 92 thousand quintals of Rabi seeds in the Rabi season . According to the information received from the Agriculture Department, so far 1,75,448 quintals of certified seeds have been stored from Seed Corporation and other sources for the Rabi season 2021-22 . So far 1,46,830 quintals of seeds have been lifted by the farmers , in which wheat 85,026 quintals , gram 40,135 quintals , peas 3191 quintals , mustard 3468Farmers have lifted 15,010 quintals of quintal and other rabi crops .
