Raipur, 10 January 2022.Food Minister Amarjit Bhagat reviewed the control of corona infection in the border districts of Gariaband and Rajnandgaon at his residence office today. He said that people coming from outside in these border districts should be compulsorily tested for corona. He said that a team of Health Department should be set up on the border of both the districts for corona investigation. Bhagat was reviewing the arrangements made for corona control in these districts through video conferencing from his residence office today.
Bhagat said that in the event of corona infection, employment arrangements should be made compulsorily for the laborers. He instructed the officials to follow the Corona guidelines. People should not stay without masks in public places. It should be strictly followed. He said that all the necessary facilities should be kept in all primary and sub-health centers apart from district hospitals to facilitate the treatment of corona affected patients. He said that all necessary medicines including oxygen beds, ventilators should be available for the treatment of serious patients. He directed the collectors of both the districts to increase the number of corona tests as well as ensure the vaccination of all the people.
Collector of Gariaband district Nilesh Kshirsagar informed that all necessary preparations have been made for the prevention of corona infection as well as for the treatment of patients. The number of corona tests has also been increased. He said that the first dose has been given to 100% eligible people in the district. More than fifty percent people have had a second dose. School children in the age group of 15 to 18 years have been vaccinated 100%. All preparations have also been made to provide employment to the poor sections in the event of Korana infection.
During the review of Rajnandgaon district, Collector Taran Prakash Sinha informed that the situation of corona infection in the district is under control. Being a border district, all the people entering from the Maharashtra border are being screened. Rajnandgaon is at number two in the state in terms of Korana investigation. On the initiative of the district administration, through commercial establishments, if not the mask, then the same campaign is being run. He informed that the Chamber of Commerce, industrial establishments, voluntary organizations and public representatives and various social organizations are getting cooperation in the prevention of Korana infection and treatment of Korana patients in the district.
He said that all arrangements have been made for employment to the poor and weaker sections. They will be provided employment through MNREGA. Arrangements have also been made for oxygen beds, oxygen concentrators, ventilators, medicines etc. in hospitals. Local public representatives and officials of both the districts participated through video conferencing.
