Raipur : Need to carry forward Baba Guru Ghasidas’s preaching’s ‘equality of all human beings’: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel

Raipur, December 17, 2021. Chief Minister offered prayers at Jaitkham on the occasion of Baba Guru Ghasidas Jayanti

Invoking Baba Guru Ghasidas’s message of unity, brotherhood and harmony in society, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today called on the people to carry forward Ghasidas’s preaching “Mankhe-Mankhe Ek Saman” equality of all human beings.

Mr. Baghel was addressing a function organized in New Rajendra Nagar Raipur on Friday to commemorate the birth anniversary of Baba Guru Ghasidas, which falls on December 18.

“One should work in the interest of humanity by following the path of truth. Today our government has completed its 3 years tenure in Chhattisgarh by following the path shown by these saints and the great personalities. With the blessings of Baba Gurughasidas ji, I have got this privilege of serving Chhattisgarh Mahtari (mother) besides working for the welfare of people belonging to every sections of society”, said Mr. Baghel addressing the function.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel offered prayers at ‘Jaitkham’ and participated in the ‘aarti’ performed here. The people of the society presented memento of ‘Jaitkhamb’ to Chief Minister Mr. Baghel. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced a grant of Rs 50 lakh for library and computer at Samajik Bhawan, Rajendra Nagar.

Remembering the contributions of Guru Ghasidas, Chief Minister said “Along with promoting education, Baba Guru Ghasidas worked for social equality and upliftment of all. Following his footsteps, Chhattisgarh government is working to ensure equality for all”.

Mr. Baghel added that the process of paddy procurement is ongoing in Chhattisgarh as per the set targets with about 1.5 lakh metric tonnes of paddy being procured every day. One-fourth of the paddy has been procured in just 15 days of commencement of paddy procurement. It is the grace and blessings of Baba Guru Ghasidas ji that in spite of many difficulties and challenges, paddy is being procured uninterruptedly across the state.

He said that the works which have been affected due to corona pandemic will be started soon in Chhattisgarh. The budget has also been passed as per the announcements made by me. Chhattisgarh government is all braced up to tackle the possible third wave of Covid-19.

Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University Vice Chancellor Prof KL Verma, Guru Ghasidas Sahitya and Sanskriti Akademi President Mr. KP Khande and Dr. JR Soni, Mr. DS Patre, Mrs. Shakun Dahria, Mr. Mr. Taman Singh Sonwani LL Kosele, Mr. HR Ratre, Mr. Sunder Jogi, Sundar Lahere, Chetan Chandel, and Bablu Trivendra along with along with a large number of people were present in the program.
