State Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that our government is continuously working in the interest of tribals and will continue to do so. Shri Baghel was addressing the Veer Mela organized at Rajrao plateau of Gurur development block of the district on the martyrdom day of Amar Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, the great freedom fighter of Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced Rs 11 lakh for development of Devgudi in Rajrao plateau, Rs 30 lakh for installation and memorial construction of life-size statue of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, Rs 15 lakh for Budhadev site development and statue installation.

Earlier, Chief Minister Shri Baghel prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the state by worshiping Baba Rajarao, Kanklin Mata, Budhadev. He paid tribute to the martyrdom of martyr Veer Narayan Singh by garlanding his photo. The Chief Minister was accorded a warm welcome with a flower garland by the office bearers of the tribal society. Addressing the program, Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that the social, economic and educational development of the tribals is the top priority of our government.

Veer Narayan Singh was addressing the Veer Mela organized in the Rajrao plateau of the Gurur development block of the district. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced Rs 11 lakh for development of Devgudi in Rajrao plateau, Rs 30 lakh for installation and memorial construction of life-size statue of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, Rs 15 lakh for Budhadev site development and statue installation.
The Chief Minister said that we are making continuous efforts for the economic development of the farmers and tribals of the state. Arrangements were made to buy Kodo, Kutki and Ragi at support price. Earlier seven types of minor forest produce were procured, now arrangements have been made to buy 52 types of minor forest produce. In the paddy procurement centers, it was decided to buy farmer gunny bags at the rate of Rs.25 per piece. He said that record purchase of 13 lakh 86 thousand metric tonnes of paddy was done in just nine days in the paddy procurement centers of the state. The target is to buy one crore five lakh metric tonnes of paddy this year. The Chief Minister said that four lakh fifty thousand hectares of individual forest rights leases and 19 lakh hectares of community forest rights leases were distributed along with the right to consume them. The Chief Minister said that health facilities should reach every person of the state. For this Haat Bazar Clinic scheme has been started. Due to better implementation of Mukhyamantri Suposhan Yojana, there has been a reduction in malnutrition by 32 percent in the state. In the program, Chief Minister Shri Baghel was honored with a memento.

Anila Bhendia, Deputy Speaker Shri Manoj Mandavi, Parliamentary Secretaries Shri Shishupal Sori and Shri Kunwar Singh Nishad, Sanjari-Balod MLA Smt. Sinha, former Union Minister Mr. Arvind Netam, former MP Mr. Sohan Potai, Chairman of Veer Mela Organizing Committee Mr. Manak Darpatti, office bearers of tribal society and people of tribal society were present in large numbers.
