Raipur: Do the work of allotment of houses to police personnel with utmost seriousness and transparency: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel

Raipur, 4 December 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has instructed Director General of Police, Ashok Juneja to do the work of allotment of government accommodation to police personnel with utmost transparency and seriousness.
The Chief Minister said that the work of allotment of houses to the jawans should be done on priority basis on the basis of availability and complete transparency should be maintained in the work. He has directed the Inspector General of Police and Superintendents of Police, including the DGP, to take up this work with utmost seriousness. He has said that the police personnel are engaged in the service of the public 24 hours a day, their problems should be resolved as quickly as possible so that the sentiments of the jawans are not hurt and their morale remains high.
The Chief Minister has directed that the DGP himself should review the housing related matters and resolve them on priority basis. The SPs in each district should also resolve the cases of allotment of houses to their district force personnel on priority and review it continuously.
It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel is very sensitive from the very beginning to solve the problems of the police personnel. The duty of police personnel is extremely disciplined and tense with the aim of preventing crimes. To reduce the mental stress of police personnel and to enable them to work with new energy, the demand of weekly holiday of policemen has been fulfilled by the state government for many years. In this sequence, various schemes have been started for the welfare of policemen in the last three years. Various welfare programs have been started for about 72,000 soldiers of the police family and their families.
The Chhattisgarh government is fully sensitive towards the martyrs and their families in the Naxal violence. The exgratia amount given by the government to the dependent families of soldiers martyred in Naxal violence has been increased from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, compassionate appointments are being given by dealing with the cases of martyr and normal death of police personnel with utmost sensitivity. Along with this, yoga classes have also been started with the help of yoga teachers by making rosters in all the districts to reduce the stress of police personnel posted in Chhattisgarh Armed Forces. Efforts are also being made to relieve the stress of the jawans by connecting them with sports activities. On retirement, the employees of Chhattisgarh Police were given Rs. 1 lakh as Chhattisgarh Police Service Samman Nidhi. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the state government has increased it to Rs 2 lakh.
