It is worth noting that with the aim of providing social security to the tendu patta collecting families in the state, this scheme is being operated from last 5 August 2020. Under this scheme, the head of the registered collector family engaged in tendu leaf collection, whose age ranges from 18 to 50 years on the date of his death, on his normal death, a grant-in-aid of two lakh rupees is provided to the nominee or heir. In case of accidental death, an additional amount of Rs.2 lakh is provided. Two lakh rupees in case of complete disability due to accident and one lakh rupees in case of partial disablement is provided to the accidental eligible tendu leaves collector.
