Raipur, 18 November 2021. With the formation of Risali Municipal Corporation, the much awaited demand of the people of the area was fulfilled.Chief Minister gave development works worth 27 crores to Risali Municipal Corporation
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth Rs 27 crore in Risali Municipal Corporation of Durg district. On this occasion, he said that after the formation of the new government, the people of the state got the gift of 5 new districts and new municipal corporation Risali in the last three years. He said that a large number of Tehsils have also been formed during this period, but only one Municipal Corporation has been formed, that is Risali. There was a long-standing demand of the people of the area that a corporation should be formed here. When Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu proposed for this, we decided that soon we will give the gift of Municipal Corporation to the people of Risali. Within a year, a municipal corporation was formed. The Chief Minister announced the construction of College and Hospital building at Risali on the occasion.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that in the last three years, Chhattisgarh has been a leader in various fields across the country, whether it is the area of forest produce collection or the area of cleanliness. Take only forest produce. Earlier only 7 types of forest produce were procured, now 52 types of forest produce are procured. If we look at the awards in the field of cleanliness, out of 239 awards given by the President, 67 are related to Chhattisgarh, this is a big achievement. Risali is also included in this achievement. The Chief Minister said that there has been no shortage of funds for infrastructure development in urban areas. Today, works worth Rs 177 crore have been dedicated and land worship has been done for the urban bodies of Durg district.
In his address on the occasion, Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu said that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has a big role behind the formation of Risali Municipal Corporation. When the proposal was placed before him, he immediately started its process and within a year the corporation was formed. Whenever the demand for development works for Risali Corporation was made in front of the Chief Minister, the Chief Minister always fulfilled it and under his able guidance, Risali Corporation is developing rapidly. On this occasion, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Dahria said that rapid development work is being done in Risali and whatever construction work has been wanted by the public representatives, It has been approved. In future also there will be no shortage of any kind for Risali Corporation. In his address, Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the Chhattisgarh government has prepared development plans for every section and through this the overall development of Chhattisgarh is happening rapidly. He said that the state has progressed rapidly on the path of development through schemes like Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana etc. Bhilai MLA Shri Devendra Yadav, Chairman of Mineral Development Corporation Shri Girish Devangan and other public representatives and dignitaries were present on this occasion.
