Raipur. 25 October 2021. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri T.S. Singhdeo today reviewed the SOR ( Schedule of Rates) revision work for various works to be done under Rural Engineering Services ( RES) through video conferencing . There was a demand for its revision by public representatives , sarpanches , collectors and MGNREGA commissioner’s office as well as many construction agencies. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Singh Deo said at the meeting that the GST , increase in prices of building materials , has been difficult to increase the rate of wages and editing work on old SOR Higher prices of petrol and diesel. Currently prevailing rates 2015applicable from. After reviewing it, provision of more amount should be made for construction and maintenance works. He directed to complete the revision work expeditiously. In view of the high expenditure on transportation and other works in difficult areas, he directed to keep additional provisions for such areas.
The Rural Engineering Service is revising the rates of construction and maintenance works, both pucca and raw, as well as works like forest clearing , painting , stone , wood , iron work , drain construction and well digging. Simultaneously , the rates of material , transport and wages are also being revised.
