Explosion in a train parked at Raipur railway station, 6 CRPF personnel injured

Six Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel have been injured in an explosion this morning in a train parked at the railway station of Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur.

According to the information received from the officers of Railways and CRPF, a special train was going to Jammu carrying the soldiers of 211 Battalion of CRPF.
At around 6.30 am, an explosion in a bogie of the train parked at platform number 2 created chaos.

It has been told that the CRPF personnel were moving the detonator and igniter set from one bogie to another, during which a sudden explosion took place. Six jawans were injured in the blast incident. The injured include Chavan, Vikas, Laxman, Ramesh Lal, Ravindra Kar, Sushil and Dinesh Kumar. All of them have been admitted to Narayana Hospital in Raipur for treatment. Among the injured, Havildar Vikas Chauhan has suffered the most. After getting information about the incident, many top officials of CRPF and Railways reached the spot. Trying to find out how the detonator exploded?

 

According to railway officials, an hour after the incident, the special train has been sent to Jammu. Trains are also operating normally from Raipur railway station.
