Raipur, 11 October 2021.Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel arrived in Dongargarh today to offer prayers to Maa Bamleshwari by the women of women self-help groups in handmade bamboo baskets. The Chief Minister offered Prasad in a basket made by 15 women of the group. He also encouraged the women of the group.
It is noteworthy that the women of Bansod caste make baskets with their traditional skills. Bamboo has been provided to them by connecting them to the Bihan group. The elderly lady of Khushi Mahila Self Help Group Mrs. Ramsheela was excited and happy to meet the Chief Minister. The women of the group said that along with getting employment due to the efforts of the district administration, skill has got a new identity. Special efforts are being made by the district administration to increase the income of the women of the group. By carrying the worship material in the basket, the Mata Mandir premises will be plastic free.
Smt. Himesh Bagga expressed happiness to meet the Chief Minister. Devotees are offering worship material to Mata Rani in bamboo baskets. This year, flowers grown by women self-help groups are being offered at the feet of Maa Bamleshwari. On the initiative of the district administration, women of self-help groups of Gothan are cultivating marigolds on a large scale. Marigold is being cultivated in many villages including village Kalaksa and Patpar of Dongargarh block. Collector Taran Prakash Sinha encouraged the women of the group to cultivate flowers in view of the demand for flowers at the local level. Most of the flowers in Dongargarh come from Kolkata. In such a situation, the women of the group are being motivated to supply flowers at the local level. Which has had pleasant results.
