Raipur: Compassionate appointments to 2069 people in 5 months after the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel

Raipur, 07 October 2021. So far, 2069 eligible applicants of 44 departments have been given compassionate appointments in the special campaign launched during the last 5 months on the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. In view of the circumstances arising due to corona infection, Shri Baghel, relaxing the rules, directed all the departments to take swift action in the cases of compassionate appointment. After this instruction, applicants of 44 departments have benefited.
It is noteworthy that in the cabinet meeting held on 18th May 2021 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the limit of 10 percent has been relaxed till 31st May 2022 to give compassionate appointment to third class posts.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister, this step of the departments has brought relief not only to the families who have become hopeless due to untimely death in Corona, but also to the families who are looking for compassion in pending cases for many years. The highest number of 1293 applicants have been given compassionate appointment by the School Education Department. After this, 125 in Home (Police) Department, 107 in Public Health and Family Welfare Department, 101 in Forest and Climate Change Department, 75 in Energy Department, 51 in Revenue and Disaster Management Department, 43 in Higher Education Department, Livestock Development Department Compassionate appointments have been given to 33 applicants, 28 in Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, 27 in Public Works Department, 29 in Water Resources Department.
Similarly, 17 in Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (Operation Agriculture), 16 in Public Health Engineering Department, 16 in Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment, 16 in Commercial Tax (Excise) Department, 13 in Finance Department, Food and Civil Supplies and Consumers 10 in Protection Department, 10 in General Administration Department, 07 in Mineral Resources Department, 06 in Women and Child Development Department, 06 in Law and Legislative Affairs Department, 05 in Commerce and Industry Department, 05 in Cooperation Department, 05 in Village Industries Department, 05 in Fisheries Department, 05 in Medical Education Department, 04 in Housing and Environment Department, 03 in Social Welfare Department, 02 in Commercial Tax Department, 02 in Transport Department, 01 in Commercial Tax (Registration) Department, 01 in Tourism Department, Compassionate appointment has been provided to 01 applicant in Culture Department and 01 in Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Secretariat.
