Raipur, 6 October 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to Maharaja Chakradhar Singh on his death anniversary on 7th October. The Chief Minister has said in his message that Maharaja Chakradhar Singh of Raigad has brought respect to Chhattisgarh in the field of music and art in the whole country. His great devotion and skill towards his art established the Raigad Gharana in the classical dance form. He made a remarkable contribution to the preservation and promotion of the glorious culture of music and classical dance. Maharaja Chakradhar Singh composed many literary works of dance and music genre. In his honor and memory, the state government has instituted the Rajya Alankaran Samman in the field of art and music. Along with this, the All India Chakradhar Festival is organized every year in Raigad to take forward his heritage of art and music. Along with this, the traditional dance art of Chhattisgarh is also being promoted globally through the tribal folk dance festival. The state government is trying to establish in the scenario. The Chief Minister has said that the contribution of Maharaja Chakradhar Singh in the field of music and art can never be forgotten.
