Raipur, 04 October 2021. In the Kharif season 2021, certified seeds are being provided to the farmers of the state through government societies and private sector. So far, 9 lakh 28 thousand quintals of certified seeds of various Kharif crops have been distributed to the farmers, which is 95 percent of 9 lakh 75 thousand 547 quintal seeds.
It is worth mentioning that against the total demand of 11 lakh 8 thousand quintals of seeds of various Kharif crops in the state, the availability of 11 lakh 81 thousand 299 quintals of seeds has been ensured. Out of which more than 9 lakh 75 thousand 457 quintal seeds have been stored. More than 9 lakh 28 thousand quintal seeds have been lifted by the farmers so far. Keeping in mind the diversification of crops, this time one lakh 55 thousand 489 quintal seeds have been arranged for paddy besides other Kharif crops.
