Raipur, 04 October 2021. A delegation of Gada Samaj under the leadership of Mr. Kishore Mahanand met Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan and apprised them about the difficulty in getting the caste certificate. The Governor assured the delegation of action. Shri Mahanand informed that the State Government has given instructions to strictly follow the simplified rules and procedures for issuing caste certificates to the applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
The department has issued new circulars in this regard to all the district collectors of the state from the ministry. Simplifying the process of issuing caste certificate, the state government has issued Act 2013 and Rules 2013 and a separate circular. The General Administration Department has clearly written in its guidelines that such applicants, whose father, brother, sister have been issued caste certificate in the year 2006 or after, the applicant should submit an affidavit on the basis of that, confirm the claim. and the authorized officer may, without any detailed enquiry, issue a social status certificate (caste certificate) to the applicant. In this way, the certificates of the applicants whose siblings or other family members have been made after the year 2006, There is neither a need to ask for the records again nor a thorough investigation for making his caste-certificate. Provision has been made to issue caste certificate only on the basis of affidavit and caste-certificates issued by family members. At present, for making caste certificate, misal record, admission rejection and other documents are being sought by the competent authorities. In the absence of these, the caste certificate is not being given to the applicants and students. Shri Vakil Tandi, Shri Shyamdas Kuldeep, Shri Radheshyam Vibhar, Shri Dayalaram, Shri Vaishno Bhataria were also present on this occasion.
