Raipur, 03 October 2021. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has said that there is smile on the faces of the farmers of Chhattisgarh. This is the hallmark of their happiness. This is the result of all our hard work and our plans. He said that it was the dream of our forefathers that farmers should be happy, labourers should get work, there should be better system of health and education of the people. Our government is fulfilling the dreams of our ancestors through its schemes and programmes.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel was addressing a huge farmers’ conference at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium in Mungeli district headquarters today. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of development works costing Rs 215 crore and congratulated the people of the district. On this occasion, he announced to open a cooperative bank in Mungeli district’s Dindauri, make Jarhagaon a tehsil, establish a girls college in Mungeli, open a polytechnic college in Patharia & constructing boundary wall of the college there and beautify the Guru Ghasidas Jayanti site in Lalpur.During the program, the Chief Minister distributed grant money and materials to the beneficiaries under various schemes of the government. On this occasion, while handing over appointment letters to the educated youth of 14 Baiga tribes as guest teachers, the Chief Minister congratulated them.

The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh government has made a scheme for every section, every family, whose benefits are being given to the people. Referring to farmers’ loan waiver, paddy procurement, universal PDS, increase in tendu leaf collection rate and support price of minor forest produce, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Half Electricity Bill scheme, he said that every family has got their benefits in some form or the other.

Mr. Baghel further said that it is our endeavor that every person should get an opportunity to move forward. Efforts are being made to ensure his participation in development. He said that as soon as his government was formed, the loans of 18 lakh farmers worth Rs 9 thousand crore were waived. In the last Kharif season, 92 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was procured from the farmers. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, a grant-in-aid of Rs 5628 crore was given to the farmers. This year, grant-in-aid of Rs 5702 crore is being given to the farmers in four installments. Besides giving the collection rate of Tendu leaves to the collectors at Rs 4000 per standard bag, 52 types of minor forest produce are being purchased at support price and value addition is being done in the state. Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Krishi Bhumiheen Mazdoor Nyay Yojana has been launched to provide assistance of Rs 6000 annually to landless families. Referring to the preparation of vermi compost in the Gothans and the purchase of cow dung under the Godhan Nyay Yojana he said that now electricity generation has been started from cow dung in the state. Earlier the government and big industrialists used to do electricity generation. Now our rural farmers and sisters have also started making electricity from cow dung. Rural Industrial Parks are being developed in Gauthans, where various products will be prepared from locally available resources. This will provide employment and economic benefits to the villagers.

Referring to the Rajiv Mitan Club scheme on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that under this, clubs would be formed in every gram panchayat and urban ward. Through this, work will be done to promote culture, sports and to bring the benefits of government schemes to the people. He said that the Chief Minister Suposhan Yojana has been appreciated by NITI Aayog. There has been a significant reduction in the rate of malnutrition in the state. The number of anemic women has also decreased. He also mentioned the progress made in the field of education, health in Bastar region and said that development work has accelerated even in the extreme Naxal-affected areas. Due to the strategy of development, trust and security of the Chhattisgarh government, Naxal activities have come down.

Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudra Kumar, Apex Bank President Mr Baijnath Chandrakar, Tourism Board President Mr Atal Srivastava, Farmers Welfare Council President Surendra Sharma also addressed the farmers’ conference. On this occasion, Chhattisgarh State Backward Classes Commission Chairman Mr. Thaneshwar Sahu, District Panchayat President Mrs. Lekni Chandrakar, Mr Sagar Singh Bais, Mr Pramod Nayak and other public representatives were present.
