Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to former Prime Minister Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary on October 2. In his message, the Chief Minister, while remembering the invaluable contribution of Shri Shastri towards the country, said that Shastri ji had an important contribution in the Indian freedom struggle. During the Indo-Pakistan war of 1965, he provided efficient leadership to the country and boosted the morale of the people by giving the slogan ‘Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan’, which united the whole country. He devoted his whole life to the poor and downtrodden and to serve the country, he was a true Gandhian. Shri Baghel said that the honest and simple life of Shastri ji inspires us to walk in the right path.
